The Water

Always start with fresh, cold, filtered water. Bring it to a rolling boil for black teas, or just below boiling (80°C) for delicate green and white teas to avoid bitterness.

The Measure

Use one teaspoon (approx. 2.5g) of Somansh loose leaf tea per cup. Allow the leaves enough room to unfurl and release their full bouquet.

The Steep

Pour the water over the leaves. Steep black teas for 3-5 minutes, and green teas for 2-3 minutes. Observe the beautiful amber or jade hues developing.
