The Art & Science of Whole-Leaf Steeping
Whole leaf tea is a delicate living extract. Mastering water temperature, leaf ratio, and infusion duration unlocks exquisite layers of flavor without bitterness.
Fresh Spring Water
Always use filtered or fresh spring water. High mineral content or chlorine suppresses delicate floral aromas.
Respect Water Heat
White and green teas scorch at 100°C. Cool boiling water for 2–3 minutes to reach 75°C – 80°C before pouring.
Room to Expand
Our hand-rolled whole leaves swell up to 4x their dry size. Avoid cramped mesh balls; use a spacious infuser.
Multiple Steeps
Artisan orthodox leaves can be re-steeped 3 to 4 times. Each subsequent infusion reveals hidden flavor notes!
