The Somansh Ritual
चाय की विधिA Century-Old Ceremony of Presence
In the Navare tradition, tea is not made; it is summoned. Follow these five sacred steps to bridge the gap between your past and your present.
The Foundation
"Select a vessel with intention."
Begin by choosing a heavy-bottomed or traditional copper vessel a medium worthy of the craft. Introduce fresh, filtered water and your chosen sweetener. Apply the first flame, awakening the elements and preparing the cradle for the leaf.

The Infusion
"Awaken the soul and strength."
As the water reaches its first gentle simmer, introduce your signature Somansh Blend. For three patient minutes, allow the water to extract the 'soul' of the handpicked leaves. This is the moment where the tea's strength is born, filling the air with the aroma of a century-old legacy.
The Marriage
"The Ufaan: A union of elements."
Incorporate the milk, turning the heat to medium-high to initiate the Sangam. Watch closely for the Ufaan the single, majestic rolling boil where the tea rises to its peak. The moment the elements are unified in color and character, withdraw the heat.
The Silent Rest
"The Pause within the process."
Cover the vessel and allow a moment of absolute stillness for two minutes. In this Silent Rest, the larger leaves settle at the base, and the delicate aromatics intensify. This is your invitation to take your own pause, breathing in the legacy you are about to consume.
The Offering
"Serve with grace."
Through a fine mesh, strain the liquid gold into your finest cup. Serve it with grace, as an offering to yourself or your guests. Sip slowly, connect with your memories, and create a new one.
